The trial lasts 30 days and allows local project creation, editing, saving, and playtesting. Trial licenses do not allow distributable export, publishing, or commercial distribution.
The paid license is a one-time purchase through itch.io at the current milestone price shown at checkout. It is a permanent per-user license with 2 active device activations. Paid export requires fresh online ownership validation and a short-lived signed export grant.
Users with a valid paid license may sell games made with Myth Engine without paying Myth Engine royalties. Users remain responsible for store fees, taxes, contractors, assets, plugins, middleware, and platform requirements.
Users may not redistribute the Myth Engine editor, resell or share purchase access, share accounts, bypass activation, reverse engineer protected licensing systems, or redistribute proprietary bundled assets separately from an authorized game export.
The paid license includes lifetime Myth Engine updates through the original itch.io purchase at no additional cost, including future major versions. Myth Engine is not sold as a subscription, a time-limited support period, or a yearly edition, and a paid license never needs to be repurchased to keep receiving updates.
Creators are responsible for rights to imported art, audio, fonts, code, plugins, libraries, templates, and store assets used in their projects.
