Eligibility

Paid Myth Engine purchases made through itch.io are eligible for a full-refund request within 14 days of purchase if the paid license has not been used to create a distributable export.

  • The 30-day trial is available so users can evaluate the editor before buying.
  • Mandatory consumer rights override this policy where local law requires a different outcome.
  • Fraud, abuse, resale, account or purchase sharing, or payment reversal can make an account ineligible for discretionary refunds.

Request Process

Submit the request through itch.io or contact Myth Engine support with the itch.io purchase email or purchase-page details. Payment processing and return of funds are handled through itch.io and remain subject to its platform procedures and mandatory consumer law.

Export Grants

Distributable export requires a fresh online paid-license validation and a short-lived signed export grant. Refund eligibility can be blocked once a paid distributable export grant exists.

Refund Effects

A full refund removes paid download access from itch.io. After ownership is rechecked, Myth Engine revokes paid device activation and future export entitlement. A refund does not delete local projects from the user's computer.

Partial Refunds

Any partial refund is a support-only goodwill adjustment processed through available itch.io procedures. It does not change license status unless support explicitly changes the entitlement and records a reason.

Disputes and Chargebacks

Chargebacks and payment disputes may remove itch.io ownership. A dispute loss or revoked purchase ends the paid license after Myth Engine receives or confirms that ownership change.
