Child Objects
Child Objects stores a collection of entries on a 2D or 3D Object. Each entry has its own name, Object choice and local placement. See Object components for definitions, attachments, and instance overrides.
For example, entries named Left and Right give Child Object Count a value of 2. Count measures configured entries. An entry with no Object selected still counts, but creates no child instance. Count is read-only in Logic.
The factory default below describes an empty collection, whose computed Count is 0. Attaching Child Objects in the Object Editor creates its first entry, with a Count of 1. Add the second entry for 2.
| Property and path | Type | Factory default | Behavior | Writable |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Child Object Count (count) | number | 0 | Read-only number of configured Child Object entries, including entries with no Object selected. Each entry stores an Object choice and local placement. | No |
Pacific Wings’ Fighter setup uses Child Objects for its Hit Area.
